The Supply Chain Specialist is part of the Business Process and Material Management (BPMM) team. The BPMM team is a Supply Chain group as part of the local manufacturing operations. The group is responsible for direct material procurement, planning and new material introduction to site.

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for creating direct material forecasts and order execution to meet the needs of the site value stream. All planning and execution activities are completed in the site's SAP system within which the Supply Chain Specialist will play a key role in master data maintenance and business analytics. In addition, the Supply Chain planner plays a key role in the project management of the introduction of new materials onto site.

  • Salary: CHF 7250.- - 8800.-/hr
  • Up to 2 days per week Work From Home OK, but to be agreed at a later stage.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve the material management process on site.
  • Ensure purchase orders are placed in line with lead times to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Ensure material planning processes meet schedule need as well as safety, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Ensure campaign spendings are in line with the sites budget plan and cost are allocated to the correct cost centers.
  • Ensure invoice and payment issues are resolved with the invoice processing to adhere to the agreed payment terms.
  • Ensure supply chain records in supplier transparency are created and maintained for all direct procured materials.
  • Ensure material forecasting is kept current in the site's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system in line with the material planning cycle.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to communicate the material ordering plan.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Procurement, CBRE, Manufacturing) for material and supplier selection.
  • Build an excellent relationship with suppliers of assigned categories in order to ensure value is created and delivered for the site.
  • Work with local and global ERP process stewards to build capability.
  • Leverage the site's ERP system to deliver the site's digital vision, working closely with the ERP Community of Practice.
  • Network with above site ERP subject matter experts to build expertise in oneself and others.
  • During schedule execution ensure value stream customers such as Manufacturing and In Process Control are well communicated to.

Requirements

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Direct Material planning experience.
  • Biologics drug substance manufacturing experience is desired.
  • Bachelor of Science in Science, Engineering or a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a relevant academic or industry field.
  • Experience in SAP or relevant ERP System
  • Enterprise mindset to ensure the right priorities are set for the site.
  • Strong project management skills to support schedule delivery.
  • Good stakeholder management skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders that support the site.
  • Good influencing / collaboration skills and teamwork mindset
  • Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, ability to challenge the status quo with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proven ability to using a wide variety of lean tools and building capability in teams you have led that becomes the standard way work gets completed.
