Are you ready to take your expertise to the next level? We're currently seeking a dynamic VAS Engineer to become a crucial part of our team in Zurich. At Sunrise, we believe in not just meeting but exceeding expectations, and we're on the lookout for someone who shares that passion.
- Provide second-line support, troubleshooting Customer Trouble Tickets and Network Trouble Tickets
- Take charge of software delivery and upgrades with your expert guidance and implementation skills. Provide support for various projects
- Expertise in trouble ticket management, prioritization, fault diagnosis, remote fault resolution, management, and control. Familiarity with O&M and technical support workflow
- Handle system configurations, prepare implementation plans, call review meetings, and execute configuration requests
- Tackle emergency situations with finesse
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively in diverse teams
- Offer stand-by service (24h-7/7d) as per local regulations
- Degree of Telecoms and/or IT industry knowledge
- Experience in VAS products (e.g., SMSC, SMS FW, Voice Mail, IN Services, OTA, IoT, eSIM, etc.) with a minimum 4 years of experience in network operation/system support
- In-depth knowledge of Unix operating systems (Red Hat, SuSe, etc.)
- Strong programming and scripting skills (C, C++, Java, HTML, PHP, Perl, Shell, etc.)
- Proficiency in databases (MySQL, Oracle, MariaDB, LDAP)
- Cool under pressure, a team player, customer-oriented, analytical thinker, and ready to embrace new technologies
- Fluent in written and spoken English
