Senior Relationship Manager Corporates - 100 % (f/m/d)

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to reinforce the Corporate Banking business line of TradeXBank AG. In this role, you will be responsible for originating and managing a portfolio of corporate clients, primarily mid-sized Swiss and EU companies operating in the domestic and international market, as well as developing banking relations. You will drive client acquisition through sourcing new business, handling inquiries, and leveraging your existing network.

Your focus will be on offering a full suite of corporate banking products, with particular emphasis on deposits, trade finance, cross-border settlements, development of FI relations. You will also provide tailored risk management solutions involving foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, and other global market products. The role requires strong sales capabilities and an in-depth understanding of corporate client needs, understanding and evaluating FI risks, as well as ensuring compliance with all internal policies and regulations.

Your responsibilities

  • Build and expand your corporate client portfolio by identifying new prospects and leveraging existing relationships, based on the bank's goals concerning creditworthiness, profitability, and cross-selling.
  • Sell a range of corporate banking products and services (cash management, trade services, treasury products) to meet revenue targets.
  • Analyse clients' financial and operational needs to propose customized banking solutions that align with their risk profiles and business goals, ensuring best-in-class service.
  • Structure, negotiate, and oversee the execution of transactions in coordination with internal operations, risk and legal teams.
  • Initiate and manage the process for granting and renewing credit facilities for corporate clients, including preparing credit applications and working with risk and legal departments.
  • Prepare and present clients and transactions overview to internal decision-making bodies, such as the Credit Committee and others.
  • Requesting necessary FI limits for the Clients’ Trade Finance and Documentary Operations transactions.
  • Assuming responsibility for business with allocated portfolio of FIs (Banks, Supranational FIs, FinTechs, Insurance Companies, Insurance Brokers, Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds).
  • Acquisition of new FI clients/counterparties for TXB Treasury and business lines and building strong relationships with FIs in accordance with TXB's strategy, internal and external regulations and policies
  • Negotiating with FI counterparties opening of Nostro correspondent accounts for the bank, coordination of KYC update, legal documentation signing, technical setup.
  • Negotiating with FI counterparties establishment of interbank lending, trading and trade finance limits on TXB.
  • Adhere with KYC, AML, Anti-Financial Crime and other internal control frameworks and policies.
  • Work closely with various internal departments to ensure seamless onboarding, product delivery, and relationship management.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of corporate banking products and services, and recommend improvements to internal processes, documentation, and IT systems to enhance operational efficiency and client experience.
  • Stay up to date with the latest macroeconomic, market and regulatory developments affecting bank's corporate clients and the industry they operate in.

Your profile

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate relationship management with exposure to structuring transactions as well as credit risks assessment of corporates. Expertise in FI would be a plus.
  • Experience in trade finance banks and/or in corporate banking / trade finance teams of huge universal banks.
  • Excellent knowledge of banking products in the corporate client business with an international focus.
  • Established network.
  • Strong sales skills and entrepreneurial thinking, door opener attitude, ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
  • Organisation skills, discipline to manage workload peaks/multiple requests in a timely manner.
  • Capacity to make informed decisions and to communicate professionally, also under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills, eager to share knowledge when required.
  • Proactive, mature, and reliable personality, demonstrating self-initiative and a drive for innovative solutions and sharing knowledge.
  • Higher education such as a degree in Business Administration or any equivalent practical experience with relevant professional skills enhancement.
  • Possess a valid Swiss/EU passport or an applicable Swiss work permit (mandatory), along with fluent proficiency in English and German languages, other languages are an advantage.

Your team 

  • You will join the front-office team of the bank that currently consists of three units (CTF, FI, Business Management) and reports directly to the Head of CTF of the bank.
  • Close exchange and collaboration with all teams and top management of the bank.
