Job purpose:

The role is to develop and drive the global brand strategy for the TRB Chemedica portfolio; to support significant long-term brand growth and contribution of our strategic brands (Ostenil, Vismed and Artrodar).


Reporting to:

Sales, Marketing and Licensing Director


Your responsibilities:


  • To develop the profile, presentation and maximize the life cycle of our strategic brands - to enable the Country Managers and Commercial Managers to maximize Sales in their countries or regions; focusing on increasing profits and value of the strategic brand business to TRB Chemedica.
  • Develop and drive global strategy - disseminating and implementing global strategic and operational plans with affiliate markets and partners worldwide.
  • Define marketing plan and portfolio strategy to ensure the sale and profitability of product indications, analyzing business developments and monitoring market and customer trends.
  • Provide marketing support, including marketing materials and adapted communication, development and KOL support to existing and new international partners.
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies in line with marketing plans.
  • Work alongside Country Managers and Medical to support the development of technical training and understanding of global partners.
  • To help support existing and identify new partners by liaising with Commercial and County Managers as well as supporting other recruitment activity such as working at international trade shows.
  • To organise and manage regular Partner Conferences for TRB Chemedicas’ strategic brands.
  • Take ownership of product launches and create the right angle of attack locally to build integrated and engaging consumer brand experiences on the markets.
  • To be the Brand Guardian for all strategic brands – ownership of brand positioning, guidelines and communication; responsibility for maintaining the integrity of all entrusted brands globally; ensuring that all international materials follow agreed brand guidelines.
  • To foster and maintain strong relationships with creative agencies on a global basis, ensuring best value for money for TRB Chemedica.
  • Lead, plan, implement and control the global marketing budget of the strategic brand business.
  • To look proactively for ways to develop the strategic brand business above and beyond the current portfolio - including M&A, partnerships and other business relationships.
  • To own the strategic NPD strategy including product improvement, quality, range extension.
  • Responsibility for clinical & market research where of global value in close cooperation with medical.
  • Develop ongoing liaison with KOLs, patient support groups and other healthcare organizations to ensure that significant developments in the field are identified and monitored.
  • To work alongside the Medical Team to develop an International Scientific Advisory Board; to help identify, recruit and work with an international group of KOLs and brand advocates.
  • To drive for efficiencies within the strategic business and proactively look to embrace new technologies and methods of marketing.
  • Build brand awareness and corporate identity and develop the marketing strategy for the company.
  • Manage all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
  • Organize company conferences, congresses and major events.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Manage and develop your team of 3 people.


Education and experiences:


The company is seeking an entrepreneurial all-rounder. Someone who is flexible, pragmatic, strategic but hands-on and above all results-focused. Specifically, the candidate:


  • Has a Life Science degree with at least 8 years of relevant operational marketing experience, in Medical Devices and drug. This is completed by a marketing degree or significant exposure/proven track record in a senior international marketing function.

  • Will have recent and relevant international healthcare marketing experience, preferably with an understanding of the rheumatology, ophthalmology or neurology sector.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of the international healthcare market.
  • Must have creative flair, with a proven track record of growing brands.
  • Has experience of, or can adapt quickly to, working in a mid-sized company.
  • Is able to adapt to an entrepreneurial and lean environment with limited resources and the need for a practical as well as a creative approach.
  • Possesses a good understanding of prescription strategies, tactics and drivers as well as trade marketing and mass-market distribution.
  • Has a working understanding of all communications media including digital.
  • Is comfortable in working and negotiating with mid- as well as senior-level colleagues across subsidiaries as well as international distributors whose first language is neither English nor French.
  • Has the gravitas to work and influence at all levels within the company up to Executive Board level.
  • Demonstrates a pronounced ability to analyse complex qualitative and quantitative information, think strategically and make your case. Has a flexible, entrepreneurial mindset and relishes new challenges.
  • Is skilled in the abilities to lead multifunctional project management teams without formal authority.
  • A self-starter who must be able to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a strong team player with a good sense of humour.
  • Is willing to frequently travel internationally when required.
  • Should be financially numerate.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Previous KOL relationship and account management experience.
