Finance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: Kera Energy is looking to hire an experienced finance manager based in Zug. The role will be responsible for all operational financial activities required to operate our supply chains in support of our customers.

The role will:

  • be responsible for all financial transactions to support our business, including accounting, treasury, cash flow forecasting and bookkeeping.
  • be the primary financial point of contact for customers, suppliers and all financial partners.
  • prepare project/ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports.
  • manage all financial matters relative to G&A, VAT, audit, tax, customs, and other regulatory/government agencies.
  • collaborate with the head of operations to ensure smooth and optimized execution of the business.
  • advise management of optimization opportunities relative to the financial operations of the business
  • provide commercial/market information to management as necessary to support the optimization of financial operations and outcome of the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge and Experience:

Experience:

  • Desired functional and educational background – accounting, finance, economics or related.
  • Desired industry background – logistics, petrochemical or energy sector is preferred. Ideal is liquid bulk trading, logistics with a focus on finance.
  • Excellent written and oral English. This will be the primary language of the position. German written and spoken is desirable.
  • Experienced in processing financial transactions related to vessel, barge and rail operations in the liquid bulk market is desirable.

  • Ability to work in an international team, be a specialist in your primary role, however, have the attitude to do any secondary requirements to support the business.

SUPPORTING FACTORS (focus on the financial aspects):

  • Vessel, Barge and Rail Business Processes
    • Financial support to the operations team relative to the finance function in the chartering, vetting, nomination, demurrage minimization, stowage plan optimization, and planning of various modes of transportation.
    • Trade Finance and Banking Operations (credit line management, KYC, registrations, etc.)
    • Risk Management including participation in the review of contracts and insurance cover.
    • Commercial Business Support – support management in strategy development and execution via financial input, model development, scenario analysis and market knowledge/research
