As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

? Focal point for the engine integration with the helicopter from a systems engineering standpoint
? Coordinate activities with other engineering teams in regards to system interfaces and overall engine integration into the helicopter
? Define, maintain and demonstrate compliance to system requirements against aircraft and certification requirements
? Coordinate system design, integration, qualification, testing, and certification activities with internal departments, suppliers and other service providers

Tasks:
? Technical coordination of the propulsion system activities, including assignment of tasks to other system and design engineers within the propulsion team
? Prepare, maintain and review requirements documents, product definition documents, compliance demonstration documents and other technical documentation
? Create documents and reports to support flight condition approval
? Manage supplier from a technical perspective and review supplier provided documentation
? Conduct and attend design reviews internally and with suppliers
? Conduct technical meetings with the Airworthiness Authorities
? Review and check parts, assembly, and installation designs and drawings
? Conduct ground testing with experimental operations and support flight test activities

? Masters degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
? Minimum 2 years experience in project and/or task management
? Minimum 5 years experience in propulsion systems engineering
? Ability to coordinate and manage system development efforts for the propulsion systems incl. suppliers
? Ability to review 3D solid models and 2D drawings in CAD
?English minimum B2 (verbal & written)
