This role is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Professional with a passion for energy commodity trading. The incumbent is responsible for the controlling activity such as monthly closing, budget and ad-hoc analysis for Alpiq's trading business. She/he works closely with the Finance Business Partner and the group controllers and a series of other stakeholders across the business. The role is to be based at our offices in Olten or Lausanne.
Your main responsibilities
- Checking and commenting the monthly reporting of the Trading activity
- Building the bridge between the Trading PL and the accounting Gross Margin for the Trading activity
- Commenting upon requests from Group Controlling the NWC movements for Trading activity
- Contributing to and supporting the creation of the Year-End-Estimate
- Preparing the budget on the costs side with the business and on the GM side with the Finance Business Partner Trading
- Various ad-hoc analysis, supporting Finance Business Partner, Group controlling and Business management in solution finding in context of Finance topics
Your profile
- University Degree or equivalent in Business Administration with a focus on Finance/Controlling
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an energy commodity trading environment
- Good command of MS Office as well as reporting system (SAP)
- IFRS knowledge a plus
- High attention to detail and analytical skills
- Independent, proactive working style
- Winning personality with good communication skills, fluent English required, any other languages a plus
