We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our new Development & Projects team, responsible for owning and overseeing the construction of utility-scale battery storage systems (BESS) across our core markets in Western Europe.

Your main responsibilities
- Own end-to-end process, taking the projects from final investment decision to commercial operations and O&M stage. Ensure delivery within defined timeline, budget and quality standard. Lead negotiations with external contractors.
- Elaborate best-practices, define target construction approach for projects (multi-package to wrapped EPC). Definition of relevant requirements and terms, conducting RFP processes and oversee supply chain, logistics and construction management
- Develop a risk management plan to identify, analyze and mitigate risks throughout project lifecycle
- Develop and document overall governance and quality standards for BESS construction projects (KPIs, reporting, documentation)
- Lead and coordinate a small team of internal project managers and establish a resource pool with external resources such as owners engineers
- Be part of an exciting growth story and contribute to the overall success of our projects
Your profile
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to build trust and relationships in a complex and diverse environment.
- Ability and energy to shape, motivate and drive success across diverse teams and stakeholders
- 8 years+ experience and demonstrated success in delivering complex construction projects in the renewables energy sector, ideally recently with utility-scale battery systems. Profound technical understanding of utility scale BESS systems and its key success factors from a construction perspective.
- Track-record in successfully leading commercial negotiations
- Experience in building up high performing teams with direct and indirect line management responsibility.
- Established network with relevant industry stakeholders
- Profound knowledge of industry best practices and standards
- Proficiency in English and fluency in German and/or French; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
