Investment Analyst - Equity

Job Description
As Investment Analyst - Equity, you will be part of the successful portfolio management team which manages public equity strategies with a focus on sustainability. The focus of the role is to successfully identify and recommend investment ideas to portfolio managers. This is achieved by creating an in-depth analysis of a business, the industry a company operates in and the financial and sustainability risk profiles of a company. The position will be based in Pfaeffikon SZ (Switzerland).
Detailed information on the Investment Analyst - Equity position:
The Investment Analyst is an integral member of our Equity Team of LGT Capital Partners in Pfaeffikon SZ (Switzerland);
Take over lead coverage of one or more sector(s) on a global basis; conducting fundamental and ESG research;
Develop in-depth knowledge of the sector(s) and monitor market and company developments on an ongoing basis to assess performance and the implications on recommendations;
Produce high quality investment reports and recommend investment ideas using financial and sustainability analysis, modelling of companies, company meetings, sell-side research, expert networks, etc.;
Create sector recommendation lists with highest conviction names;
Present investment ideas and recommendations to portfolio managers and other analysts within the team;
Assist in marketing-related activities for external clients in covered sector(s), from verbal or written updates to more formal presentations.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience in equity research with natural interest in and passion for equity markets and sustainability;
Investment experience of 5+ years in an equity research role on the buy-side or sell-side;
Relevant work experience in companies linked to industrials, energy transition, impact and financials (insurance, financial services) is a plus;
Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process;
Excellent accounting/finance skills, ideally with CFA accreditation or similar;
Proven financial modelling skills and an understanding of how to value companies;
Excellent English writing and communication skills, including personal or professional experience in an English-speaking environment;
Self-starter personality, highly motivated with an international mindset.
