Sustainability Program Lead Innovation
Join our Innovation team as Sustainability Program Lead and be at the forefront of our vision to "close the loop" through circular device solutions. You will drive innovation initiatives, coordinate sustainability innovation roadmap with stakeholders, and collaborate with Corporate Sustainability to translate our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) into breakthrough circular device projects.

Support us in the production and development of cutting-edge medical technology solutions that enable people around the world to self-manage diabetes and other chronic diseases.
- Manage sustainability innovation portfolio in collaboration with product areas, corporate sustainability, and other relevant internal and external stakeholders to drive circular device vision for Ypsomed Delivery Systems
- Collaborate with corporate sustainability to translate the Ypsomed corporate NetZero Program into tangible innovation projects, bridge the "innovation gap" by developing strategies that align with sustainability goals and KPIs
- Support and guide innovation proof-of-concepts for self-injection devices, ensuring feasibility and alignment with sustainability goals
- Orchestrate the implementation of a circular device vision that encompasses the entire product lifecycle from product development to end-of-life through external partnerships with pharmaceutical partners and solution providers
- Work closely with pharmaceutical partners and healthcare system stakeholders to understand their sustainability objectives and tailor circular device solutions and business models accordingly
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and serve as a subject matter expert on sustainability market trends, policies and standards, and the competitive landscape
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in innovation, product design & development, and sustainability leadership roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry
- Deep knowhow of sustainability programs, circular economy principles and eco-design practices
- Strong analytical and cross-functional project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and departments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills (incl. Executive Management)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Engineering, Innovation)
- Fluent in English, good knowledge of German
