E-Commerce Logistics Manager
Specialists in the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary personnel in various economic sectors, we have been existing in Switzerland for over 60 years with more than 300 employees in more than 40 branches.For our estimated client, we are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager,to oversee both the strategic and operational aspects of logistics operations. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the logistics team, coordinating with various departments including Procurement, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance, and ensuring efficient and effective distribution of products to company customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- develop and implement logistics strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency
- analyse and optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve service levels
- design and set up the new distribution and logistics center “North of the Alps”
- establish KPIs and metrics to measure and improve logistics performance.
- oversee daily logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and transportation
- ensure timely and accurate shipment of products to customers
- manage relationships with logistics providers, including negotiation of contracts, rates and service agreements
- coordinate with the warehousing team to ensure efficient storage and handling of products
- lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 logistics professionals
- identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in logistics and supply chain management
- develop and maintain safety protocols and procedures for logistics operations
- manage risks associated with logistics activities, including transportation delays and inventory discrepancies
Qualifications:
- proven experience in managing B2C operations in an e-commerce furniture environmentis a MUST
- bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management
- experience in logistics and management of large items.
- experience in designing and implementing third-party managed warehouses.
- experience in sourcing products from Asian suppliers.
- experience in stting up awarehouse managed by a third-party logistics provider
- ability to manage relationships with international suppliers, ensuring quality and timely deliveries.
- excellent negotiator with experience in managing contracts and agreements with suppliers and logistics partners.
- excellent teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach and focus on achieving common goals.
- proven experience in both strategic planning and operational execution in logistics.
- proficiency in logistics software and technologies.
- strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
