Your tasks

As we continue to look for more sustainable ways to build, we are looking for a passionate Pensions and Benefits Reporting Expert to join our team. Someone who is driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture.As Pensions and Benefits Reporting Expert you will act as the Expert for IFRS Pension Reporting/Accounting an be responsible to:

  • Pro-actively contribute to the entire end-to-end IFRS Pension Reporting process – involve the various internal and external parties (actuary / auditors)
  • Responsible for the accuracy of IFRS Pension reporting & accounting (review of actuarial assumptions, analysis of the net liability reconciliation and understanding of main special events)
  • Liaise with and support the Group subsidiaries in the accounting of their post-employment benefits under the relevant IFRS
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Consolidation Team on all accounting impacts on a quarterly basis
  • Anticipate any new requirements or changes in the IFRS guidance
  • Contribute to the internal and external audit processes for pension and similar long-term commitment plans
  • Actively contribute to and review of the pension disclosure for the annual report
  • Governing and monitoring pension plans and other post-employment benefits plans for the Holcim Group
    • Ensure that DB and DC plans are managed as per the Group Pension and Benefits directive
    • Regularly liaise with the local HR and finance team to be informed about pension plan re-designs, changes in legislation, and any other incidents that might impact reporting, accounting, risk management and/or internal control or investment decisions/concepts.
  • Global Underwriting Program (GUP) and EB insurance programs
    • Coordinate the implementation of group program as well as monitoring the EB insurance renewals with the Global broker
    • Collaborate with local teams on the re-design of EB programs in compliance with the Group Pension and Benefits directive
  • Vendor Management
    • Closely liaise with the Global Audit, Global Actuary, Global broker as well as with local consultants where necessary
    • Issue Purchase Order and manage invoices for the Headquarter
    • Collaborate with Procurement on the renewal of long term contracts

Education/Qualifications

  • Finance, accounting
  • CPA, CFA or equivalent designation
  • Business School or University equivalent, preferably with a master's degree in Finance

Experience

  • Experience in multinational and multi-cultural environments
  • 3-5 years' experience in external audit, consultant firms(prefereably Big4) and international controlling and reporting

Knowledge & Skills

  • Consolidation know-how
  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Strong technical financial skills in accounting, control and systems
  • Highly effective time management, planning and organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities

Language Requirements

English as base working language
