Full-Stack System Engineer in Bern
Location: Thun, Bern
About the Role: This division is at the forefront of supporting Cyber Command ICT projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of highly secure and sovereign IT systems within a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise customers on defining software requirements, including analysing business processes, transactions, data, functions, and the environment (workstations, target systems, platforms, framework organisation).
- Analyse and resolve malfunctions and errors in software applications in technical environments (workstations, target systems, platforms, networks).
- Define functional and non-functional requirements (availability, security, performance), create concepts, and estimate efforts.
- Create models for data, functions, and objects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain software applications, components, modules, or interfaces to databases and other applications.
- Create and maintain documentation (models, interface descriptions, test procedures, user manuals).
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in computer science, apprenticeship as a computer scientist EFZ with several years of professional experience, or career changer with further training in computer science and relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Angular, and AngularJS.
- Experience with IntelliJ, Maven, and Gradle.
- Knowledge of vitalisation and container technologies, and scripting.
- Experience in automating data flows with Apache NiFi and visualizing data with OpenSearch Dashboards.
- Additional knowledge of Nutanix, Kubernetes, JBoss, WildFly, and MS SQL is an advantage.
- Conscientious, independent, and proactive work ethic.
- Strong quality awareness and assertiveness.
- Very good oral and written knowledge of German; English knowledge is an advantage.
- Military career as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer is an advantage.
