- Assist in the design and fabrication of micro- and milli-fluidic platforms using various techniques such as multi-layer soft-lithography, milling, hot embossing, laser cutting, and 3D printing.
- Collaborate with the researchers in the group to integrate biosensors into microfluidic platforms for the detection of analytes secreted by organs and organ models.
- Support in the implementation of perfusion techniques and the manipulation of organs and organ models.
- Assist in the creation of spatiotemporal biochemical signals to mimic native microenvironments.
- Engage in engineering project management tasks under the guidance of the researchers.
- Participate in collaborative projects with internal and external scientific and clinical partners.
- Master's degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering management, or related field.
- Strong knowledge and experience in circuit design.
- Familiarity with microfluidic technologies and fabrication techniques is desirable.
- Experience in engineering project management is a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD software and computational approaches.
- Competency in programming languages such as Python.
- Experience with fluorescence detection instrumentation is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- A proficient level of scientific communication in written and spoken German and English is required.
