MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a Mathematics teacher to join our Anglophone Middle School section from mid-August until mid-October 2024.
The successful candidate should be a team player and will join a dynamic department in a highly motivating international setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote the school’s mission and vision by assisting students, both day and boarding, to discover and develop individual strengths, make powerful, lifelong global connections, and be their best selves;
- Contribute to the creation of a caring and inclusive learning environment in which students can flourish, ensuring that each student’s health and well-being are given the necessary priority;
- Embody and promote Collège du Léman’s RISE values of Respect, Internationalism, Spirit, and Excellence;
- Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities;
- Work with colleagues to ensure that all lessons are harmonised across the grade level;
- Grade students as per the school guidelines and enter grades into the online grade book;
- Write school reports as per guidelines and adhere to the timelines for completion;
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
You must hold a relevant university degree in Mathematics along with a teaching qualification. Successful experience in teaching Middle School students, preferably in an international school setting, is required. Prior experience with the Harvard Project Zero visible thinking routines is an asset. English should be your mother tongue language, or you should possess an excellent command of it. Proficiency in integrating educational technology into the curriculum is expected. You should also demonstrate the ability to collaborate closely with a team of dedicated colleagues.
