Application Engineer - Securities Finance- FIS SFTC/APEX/Finance (m,f,d)
Project: We are looking for an Application Engineer to act as the application expert and join the Securities Lending and Borrowing team for an International banking client. With close interactions with business colleagues, the role offers an engaging and dynamic environment, ensuring a stimulating and rewarding experience.
It is possible to work remotely, however during the first few months you will be required to be fully onsite.
Tasks:
- Take a leading role in shaping key components of the Trading and Risk modelling platform (models creation, models execution, models operations) running in the cloud.
- "Run the bank" tasks ensuring system availability and stability.
- Support with daily work and run investigations (e.g. trade processing, P&L / recon breaks)
- Raise recommendations on system and process improvements
- Generate reports as per business needs
- You will be a crucial stakeholder in fully automating the Securities Lending and Borrowing business
- Participate in daily Agile routines and rituals
- Support upgrades to the latest version by providing senior expert level advice and conducting tests
Requirements:
- University degree in a Computer science or similar
- 5 years practical hands on as IT Engineer, Administrator and/or Developer
- Experience working with "FIS Securities Finance Trading and Collateral Platform," formerly known as "Apex Collateral Management/Finance,"
- Sound business understanding in Securities Lending and Borrowing
- Profound developer knowhow in Java/JMS and SQL
- Strong communication skills across management, business, IT, and vendors
- Flexibility to work on public Swiss/Zurich holidays when foreign markets are open, such as August 1st, on a rotational basis
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies

- English - Fluent (Written and Spoken)
- German - Min B1
