Senior Mechanical Engineer

For our Mechanical Engineering department, we are looking for a passionate candidate to join our team dedicated to developing and optimizing medical devices. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on creating safe, effective, and ergonomic products.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct mechanical design of parts and assemblies, from prototypes to industrialization.
- Development of part having various manufacturing process : injection molding, milling, deforming, thermoforming.
- Feasibility assessment, including early prototyping, analysis and lab testing.
- Respect of Design Input and requirement linked to Medical Device product.
- Collaborating with external manufacturing and development partners.
- Collaborating with other R&D department (electronics, software, project management and test system teams).
- Working in a multidisciplinary environment.
Knowledge, skill and abilities :
Minimal requirements
- High level of proficiency with 3D CAD modelling (SolidWorks a plus), technical drawings, tolerancing and GD&T.
- Strong plastic injection mold design and process knowledge.
- Mechanical Design creation and prototype testing.
- Fluent in English and French (both written and verbal).
Additional requirements
- Strong metal / plastic milling process knowledge.
- Experience with R&D and physical prototyping (including 3D printing, manual machining, etc).
- Manufacturing or industrialization experiences.
- Detailed understanding of principles and practice of Design Controls.
- Ability to create and manage schedules for sub-tasks and work streams for which you are responsible.
Education and experience :
- BSc or MSc in Mechanics, Micromechanics, Microtechnics or similar.
- 5 years as Mechanical Engineer in relevant industrial/R&D.
- Experience in medical device industry is a plus.
