Bar Manager

The Penny Pub in Aarau is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bar Manager to join our team. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high standard of quality.

• Manage and supervise all aspects of the bar, including staff, inventory, and customer service
• Create and implement effective strategies to increase sales and profitability
• Train and develop bar staff to deliver outstanding service and maintain a positive work environment
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering and stock management
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of beverage products, mixology, and current industry trends
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Fluency in English and German is required
• Good knowledge of sport and current sporting events
• Good knowledge of music and booking of live artists
