Editorial Coordinator

For an important company, we are looking for the following profile:
Job purpose:
assist in daily tasks associated with the publication of monthly issues of the Journal of the Company.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Check submissions for peer review to ensure compliance with submission standards and author guidelines (format, file types, conflict of interest forms, double submissions, etc.)
- Assist in monitoring the progress of new, revised, and resubmitted manuscripts throughout the review process
- Check the accepted manuscript files and coordinates with the illustrator and the production editor
- Respond to miscellaneous inquiries from the authors and reviewers concerning the submission procedures and review process
- Contribute to the journal's social media engagement programme (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
- Assist the Editorial Operations Manager with the coordination of supplement issues and other commercial projects
- Liaise with the Communication Department to update the Company pages of the respective websites
- Contribute to the Podcast project
- Take care of logistics for the face-to-face editorial meetings
- Take minutes of the editorial meetings
Requirements:
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Advanced copywriting and proof-reading skills, a true passion for writing
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
- Excellent time management, ability to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
- University degree in communications, languages, creative writing or equivalent
