About this opportunity

With a cross-functional reach and hands-on mentality, the Align EMEA Legal team consists of 12 legal professionals of
diverse nationalities, background and legal expertise, that operate in a hub and spoke model always providing
best-in-class support to all EMEA businesses on a broad range of legal matters.

Align now seeks to hire a Senior Regional Counsel EMEA to support its Scanner Business to interface with all relevant
stakeholders at both regional and local levels, in close coordination with the iTero Global team based in Israel.

Reporting to the EMEA General Counsel, the Senior Regional Counsel EMEA will be an active member of both the EMEA
Legal and iTero Leadership teams and will be the trusted strategic legal expert of a fast-paced international business
team working at the forefront of digital technology, capital equipment, IT and innovation.

The Senior Regional Counsel EMEA will be based in our regional hub in Rotkreuz Switzerland and will provide strategic
advice to the EMEA Scanner business teams as well as regular support and training to the Senior Area Counsels in
markets who will be responsible for the implementation and localization of bespoke regional tools and templates under
the guidance of the Senior Regional Counsel EMEA.

In this role, you will

- Provide strategic advice and assistance to the EMEA iTero Scanner business leaders and effectively handle all
operations that have legal implications in the region
- Propose, organize, implement and manage an efficient review process of promotional materials and contracts ensuring
their consistency with Align strategy, applicable laws, regulations and company policies
- Support regional and local Business Developments initiatives with the structuring, drafting and negotiation of
pan-regional agency and distribution agreements
- Provide legal advice on the EMEA iTero Scanner commercial policy and evolution of optimized go-to-market strategies,
releases of new software or products
- Monitor, understand and help anticipate regulatory changes and impacts on all relevant legal instruments of digital
technology, e-health, and medical device regulations in the region
- Seek, identify and prioritize continuous improvement initiatives aiming at providing tools and empowering the EMEA
iTero Scanner business team to support the ambitious growth of the business always keeping a customer centric approach
- Provide support and work collaboratively with the EMEA RA&QA team regarding import-export regulations in the region
- Ensure implementation of the EMEA Compliance Policy in close coordination with Align Global Compliance and Privacy
- Keep the General Counsel EMEA abreast of potential legal & regulatory issues and ensure that key stakeholders are
being associated with the legal and compliance requirements through regular training and effective communication

In this role, youll need

- Qualified generalist lawyer, accustomed to work across multiple geographies, with 10+ years experience gained in
both a law firm and in-house environment
- Experience within the medical device sector with a focus on IT and technology is preferred
- Prior exposure to European competition law and Compliance is necessary
- Strong contractual skills and intimate understanding of Capital equipment and financing is a plus
- Result-driven team player, focused, excellent in multitasking, flexible and willing to learn and adapt to a
continuously changing legal environment
- Solid business acumen and thoughtful, sensitive and persuasive interpersonal skills
- Experience and interest in working in an international, diverse and fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a broad audience
including medical, legal and highly specialized technical individuals
- Fluent English (spoken & written) required. Ability to speak other European languages advantageous
- Periodic travels (c15%)
