Senior Informatician and Project Manager

SmartGene is an Application Service Provider (SaaS) which develops and markets cutting-edge, web-based, data-management solutions in the field of genetics. Our Apps are oriented towards medical research and diagnostics, and in use by international customers worldwide (see www.smartgene.com).

To reinforce its team in Lausanne, Switzerland, SmartGene is seeking a Senior Informatician and Project Manager
Our candidate should have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer sciences and should be fluent in English. French and German would be an asset.

The ideal candidate should have the following competences:

• Management of projects with an in-house team and outside programmers
• Knowledge in current Linux systems and programming languages, as well as in Java
• Experience with PostgreSQL and with complex application systems
• Knowledge in using project management tools such as Jira
• Ability to perform code evaluation and migration into new frameworks
• Working with software quality control and documentation
• Interest in biology and science in general
