The main objective of the Electrical Maintenance Coordinator is to contribute to reach maximum availability / reliability of the electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment and installations in the plant, coordinating the development and implementation of the preventive and predictive maintenance program and execution of the appropriate corrective actions at the lowest optimum cost and in compliance with the OH&S regulations, following the maintenance guidelines of the Cement Industrial Framework (iCIF) and Maintenance Management System (MAC).
Responsibilities:
Health, Safety and Environment:
- Guarantee compliance with OH&S and environment policies for electrical maintenance personnel.
- Establish safety culture and tackle specific actions to ensure health and safety prevention during maintenance activities.
- Contribute to plant housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Create and manage internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources
Maintenance Operations:
- Determine and contribute to the planning and schedule the necessary actions of corrective and preventive electrical, instrumentation and automation maintenance in coordination with Mechanical and Preventive Maintenance Head and Supervisors to assure proper functioning of electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment and installations.
- Ensure electrical maintenance team's full time readiness to efficiently tackle emergencies or urgent breakdowns
- Contribute with his team to the development and planning of the necessary preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance actions and plans to assure long term proper functioning of equipment and installations in cooperation with the Production and Process, Capex departments, Preventive and Mechanical Maintenance Heads / Coordinator.
- Prepare weekly and daily maintenance plans (work orders) according to preventive maintenance plans or scheduled corrective maintenance actions.
- Coordinate and supervise execution of work order activities, failure data gathering (cause, symptom…), time confirmation (external and internal), and material withdrawal, BOM data collection and ensure the quality of the work execution.
- Manage execution of maintenance activities by third parties.
- Cooperate with Production and Process, Capex departments, Mechanical and Preventive Maintenance Heads / Coordinator in the execution of complex maintenance actions
- Contribute to NWC optimization by identifying critical parts of electrical equipment (based on risk assessment), proposing optimal stock levels of spare parts (through FMEA and RCA) and identifying remaining lifetime of critical electrical equipment.
- Define measures to extend lifetimes and set-up replacement planning in line with cost target and PMP.
- Support the Production Manager for efficient energy consumption.
- Provide technical requirements and support supplier qualification and evaluation for electrical maintenance services contracting.
Management - Planning & Cost Control:
- Support the Maintenance Manager in the elaboration and control of the maintenance budget, ensuring planning and follow-up of costs.
- Implement effective and systematic solutions to achieve budget and to meet or exceed targets.
Standards:
- Communicate and implement regulations, company goals, local permits, policies and procedures; optimise the internal processes and structures within its group. Supervise personnel to apply them consistently and ensure ISO compliance for related activities. Respect Cement Industrial Framework (iCIF) and Maintenance Management System (MAC) standard; follow up monthly and weekly MAC targets (KPIs and SPIs).
People Management:
- Monitor performance of electrical maintenance personnel (internal and external).
- Develop, inform and motivate its team, ensuring competencies and skills development according to technical innovations, plant or personal needs.
- Train and coach the maintenance team on maintenance best practices
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the reliability analysis, RCA execution and actions follow up.
- Coordinate the development of the Standard operational procedures for repetitive activities.
- Consider new techniques and/or technologies to optimise electrical maintenance cost and improve the technical condition and functioning of the installed equipment.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education / experience
3-5 years electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting
Strong people management experience
Experience applying FMEA techniques and knowledge of basic problem-solving tools
Knowledge and Competencies:
Knowledge of cement production process is an advantage
- Knowledge of CIF (Cement Industrial Framework), MAC (Maintenance Cement), Holcim Asses Code (HAC), CbM (Computer based Monitoring), Project Management Approach (PMA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Cost Basics preferred, FMEA Concept.
- Strong knowledge of basic electrical maintenance tasks (motors, drives, power and control systems, instrumentation, automation systems...) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Projects), Google Docs Editor (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive), SAP (PM, MM, PS, CATS), and TIS
