Mechanical Engineer in R&D Point of Care Development
We are looking for an experienced person with work experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably from the medical technology industry. You are able to think analytically, networked and solution-orientated and you have the ability to recognise whether the designed product can be manufactured or not and identify the problem.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Actively promote the tasks and own your work packages in a matrix organized project.
- Conduct all phases of mechanical development from feasibility studies through to design review, unit testing, troubleshooting and sustenance.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including tolerance analysis, FMEA, FEA and Design for X on a highly integrated system.
- Define, design, and maintain 3D CAD models including detailed 2D drawings of individual parts.
- Execute technical reviews involving different stakeholders from R&D, Operations and Customer Support.
- Participation in the definition of work packages, their estimation, planning, and implementation in a sprint-based agile environment, in close collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders, adhering to regulatory compliance.
Must Haves:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferably experience in medtech industry
- Min. 3-5 years experience as a mechanical engineer in the development of complex medical systems and with multiphysics interaction (electromechanical, optical, thermal, chemical)
- Hands-on expertise in CAD for mechanical design (CATIA V5 / Solidworks preferred) and SAP as PLM, in compliance with ISO GPS for 2D drawings and 3D models
- Affinity for methodical and systematic approach in product development, as well as a solid understanding of physics and engineering fundamentals
- Curious mindset with strong resilience and foresight to passionately implement long-term improvements in a technically and organizationally complex environment
- Cultivating a profound understanding of multifactorial challenges
- Proven ability to thrive in collaborative, agile and transparent environments, including working within multidisciplinary teams in regulated settings
- Fluency in English spoken and written is a MUST, listening and reading comprehension in German is a plus
