Our Client is an international trading company with over 20 years experience in ferroalloys products, with a presence in multiple locations in Europe, Asia and the US. We are looking for a new young Legal Counsel (M/F). The selection process is oriented to junior candidates interested to learn and follow an internal training on the job.
Native or fluent English, good command of Italian, German, French welcome
Bar admitted. English or Swiss qualification shall be preferred
At least 3 years’ experience working at a large national or international law firm and drafting of documents in English
Good grasp of contract law. Must have experience in working on and/or advising trading companies and/or international EPC contractors
Knowledge or experience in M&A, corporate, labour law, and commercial law
Knowledge and understanding of compliance-related topics: Know-your-customer; anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, sanctions etc.
Ability to assume complex tasks, create and present a plan of action, and independently obtain a favourable resolution or conclusion
Ability to maintain high level of integrity of confidential and sensitive information and credibility within the company
Strong organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously; willingness to assume heavy workload to meet timing
Ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, must demonstrate maturity and initiatives
Team oriented and hands on work orientation

Proficient with MS Office
Key tasks and responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, your mainduties shall be the following:
Commercial transactions relating to the company’s trading business, investments and commercial operations, including preparation and review of term sheets, complex purchase and sale contracts and documentation for structured transactions
Tax and accounting matters
Credit risk, funding and liquidity coverage
Claims and management of legal and regulatory proceedings (regulatory and compliance matters; insurance solutions including credit, marine cargo, commercial risk and liability coverage and claims)
Coordination of transactions process by working closely with traders and management
Monitoring legal, regulatory and market developments in Europe, Asia and the CIS region

Additional information: 100% (full time) – Permanent Swiss Job Contract. We are oriented to candidates resident/domiciled in Canton Tessin or possibly in Como, Varese or Milan areas.
