Our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems is one of the world's leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical primary packaging and analytical lab services. Then, it is time that you join us as (Senior)Process Engineer* in our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems. You will be located in St. Gallen within our global R&D department, starting immediately.
You are our innovator and process expert.
You develop pioneer processes and introduce state-of-the-art technologies to manufacture innovative primary and secondary packaging products and secure their intellectual property.
You innovate while optimizing processing times, improving yield and reducing defects.
You are an expert in hot forming, gluing, cleaning, coating, assembling, injection molding and/or packaging processes and technologies.
You execute complex innovation, customer specific and industrialization projects from idea all the way to market launch.
You are responsible to plan technical work packages and deliver them according to quality, delivery and cost targets, in alignment with your project manager.
You know and understand production processes and their impact on the product functionalities and, vice versa, the impact of product designs on manufacturability and cost.
Travelling to global production sites and suppliers can be up to 30%.
University degree in Life Science or Engineering (e.g. pharmaceutical engineering, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials engineering etc.)
(5+) 2+ years of working experience in process development of medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging
Knowledge and experience with glass or polymer processes like hot forming, gluing, cleaning, coating, assembling, injection molding and/or packaging processes
Knowledge of equipment and process qualification and validation as well as related standards and regulations (21 CFR 820; ISO 13485; ISO 15378)
Knowledge of statistical data analysis and Six Sigma certification are a plus
Fluent in English and in German (written and spoken) with good interpersonal and communication skills
Structured working style and ability to plan and prioritize technical activities
Creativity and ability to think out of the box and generate intellectual property
