Position Summary

The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discovers, develops and deploys coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provides new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

As a Site Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead all Quality related activities, competences, and resources in the Nestlé Research & Development Orbe (NRDO) Site. Your main objective will be to ensure that all process and product developments comply with food safety standards set by Nestle and legal regulations, constantly striving to improve methods and promote a Quality culture that aligns with FSMS (FSSC 22000) and ISO-9001.

A Day in the Life of a Site Quality Assurance Manager

  • Establish unit objectives and create a roadmap aligned with Site/NPTC and QA network priorities.
  • Recruit, motivate, and develop staff to ensure high-quality competencies and support for clients.
  • Allocate resources for Quality and Food Safety activities to adequately support NRDO/NDUs (Nestlé Development Unit).
  • Promote and support Quality/Food Safety understanding and compliance within NRDO/NDU on site.
  • Manage stakeholders and facilitate collaboration for knowledge sharing and alignment in quality/food safety.
  • Act as the expert and advocate for quality/food safety throughout the Discover/Develop/Deploy process.
  • Drive compliance through auditing and coordinate external audits (FSSC 22'000 and ISO-9001) and management reviews.
  • Drive a quality mindset, network with advocates, and build expertise in relevant product categories/businesses.

What will make you successful

  • Degree in food technology or food engineering.
  • Senior experience of Quality Management in Operations/Factories as a Quality Manager and R&D as a plus
  • Experienced in leading teams and developing people.
  • Solid understanding of I&R (Investigation and Resolution).
  • Skilled in managing resources and budgets.
  • Experienced in conducting audits for FSSC 22'000 and ISO 9001, with lead auditor capabilities.
