Your Contributions:- Lead requirements and architecture definition for aircraft subsystems for unconventional drones and aircraft.
- Define downstream testing needs for verification and validation of aircraft subsystems, including measurement techniques.
- Document aircraft subsystem architectures and designs for design reviews.
- Work with Systems Engineering team to establish, review, and manage technical requirements for aircraft subsystems.
- Conduct detailed design of aircraft subsystems.
- Use software tools to model aircraft subsystems.
- Work with suppliers to source aircraft subsystems components.
- Lead integration design to incorporate aircraft subsystems into ground test rigs and into prototype aircraft.
- Work with Lead Engineer to develop customer presentations on aircraft subsystems design and documentation.
Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Experience with aircraft subsystem design, analysis, simulation, integration, and testing.
- Experience with the analysis of aircraft subsystem failure modes as well as architectural trade studies.
Desirable Qualifications:- Familiarity with one or more specific aircraft subsystems, such as:
- Fuel, lubrication, and other fluid systems
- Braking systems
- Avionics and low-power electrical systems
- Knowledge of requirements management
- Knowledge of aerospace certification requirements
