Bioinformatician for Oncology/Lymphoma Research 80-100%
- Development and implementation of bioinformatic pipelines for cell-free DNA analysis as well as DNA sequencing (e.g. targeted sequencing, whole exome sequencing (WES) and whole genome sequencing (WGS) for tumors) in a translational research laboratory.
- Statistical analysis and visualization of molecular genetic data sets in the context of scientific research projects, including contribution to publications.
- Optimization and automation of research laboratory processes in close collaboration with the clinical diagnostics department in order to efficiently use existing IT structures.
- Managing and integrating laboratory data and clinical patient information into appropriate database systems to support research.
- Completed Master's or PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related scientific field with a sound knowledge of computer science/bioinformatics.
- Extensive programming skills in at least one language such as Python, R or Perl.
- Familiarity with Unix-based systems (e.g. Ubuntu) and their application.
- Experience in bioinformatics of molecular investigations, especially next-generation sequencing (NGS), and working with database systems is an advantage.
- Enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration in research teams.
- Ability to work independently, proactively and reliably.
