For our client based in Valais, a company active in the plastic mould injection industry, we are looking for a Moulds Business Unit Manager (M/F).
Your activities at your future employer Leading a team of 4 design engineers and app. 15 shopfloor people (Project Planning & Management, Quality Control, CNC Machining incl. Programming, Molds Test Assembly, Prototype Testing) Implement a strategy to enable consistent growth of the Mold business and Services. Initiate LEAN Production Operations in Moulds Factory and continuously improve productivity; use automation technology to increase growth and output with same or less staff Pursue new market opportunities with Sales Drive operational efficiencies through innovation and new product/service introductions. Take responsibility for people decisions such as people management and performance management. Build a strong and empowered team, coaches, counsels and motivates the team through regular feedback. Manage the workstream Engineering & Manufacturing of this Business Units Member of the Management Team Your advantages for your future employer Hands-on leader (at least 50% time to be spent on shopfloor) Can identify and train talented foremen in shopfloor Experienced in lean improvements for moulds production and assembly processes Can understand and make assembly processes more efficient Able and willing to relocate to Wallis or closeby Education: ideally a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a lean qualification or Technical Apprenticeship with experience in mold making /tool making ("Werkzeugmacher") Experience in automation business is a plus Languages: English a must, German preferable, French a plus Are you interested in this job?
