- Shared responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the biology lab and associated equipment (e.g. cell culture incubators, safety cabinets, pipette control)
- Collaboration with scientists on project work on cell and tissue cultures with biochemical and molecular biological analysis
- Active participation in the training of apprentices, students and scholarship holders
- Project-related documentation and help with editing SOP guidelines
- Implementing and ensuring safety regulations in the laboratory
- Completed training as a laboratory technician (EFZ Fachrichtung Biologie) or equivalent training
- Theoretical and practical experience in mammalian cell culture
- Experience in 3D cell culture is an advantage
- Experience in biochemical and molecular biological analysis (e.g. spectrophotometric analysis, real-time polymerase chain reaction) is an advantage
- A good command of English (oral and written) is required
