Senior Publishing Manager

Urban Games is an independent and highly-successful video game development company focused on simulation and management games. Urban Games’ third video game title, Transport Fever 2, was released with great success in late 2019 and enables the company to continue growing. The senior publishing manager has overall responsibility for the publishing of our games and manages production, marketing, distribution, and sales.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the production process from first playable game versions until release
• Manage production plans for testing, quality assurance, certification and age rating
• Develop and execute marketing strategies including advertising, press tours, and events
• Work closely with PR studios to ensure that our games are marketed effectively
• Secure distribution deals with sales platforms such as Steam, PlayStation and Xbox
• Make sure our quality games exploit their full sales potential by expanding all sales channels
• Establish a close collaboration with the community manager, the head of product, and the CEO

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience working in the video game industry
• Professional experience with publishing and worked on shipped products
• Advanced knowledge of sales platforms, storefronts, distribution and marketing
• Strong project management, negotiation, sales and deal-maker skills
• Great organization, moderation and social skills paired with strong assertiveness
• Solid understanding of our games and customers to enable effective marketing campaigns
• German and English communication and writing skills (B2 level or higher)

Preferences:

• Degree or professional experience in leadership, management or related field
• Professional experience with multi-platform releases of shipped products
• Strong interest in our games, in particular Transport Fever 2
