Laboratory Technician Surface Treatment

• Perform analysis on mineral and mineral-containing products using a variety of analytical techniques and application methods (e. g. particle size analysis, mechanical properties, rheometers, spectroscopy, etc)
• Conduct guided non-routine experiments for product and process technology development contributing to industry-focused product development and future research and development goals
• Perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments used to perform the tests
• Adapt industry (e.g. polymer, construction, paper, etc) processing equipment and/or conditions to meet the specific experimental objective
• Demonstrate and develop expertise in sample preparation and processing equipment such as high speed mixers, extruders, presses, etc
• Record test results and observations in computer based data retention system
• Maintain responsibility for sample management, data entry and reporting

• Experience working in a lab
• Good technical skills and willingness to use them in a laboratory environment
• Excellent computer and sorftware skills in Word and Excel
• Good command of both German and English
• Proactive, target-oriented and willing to work on multidisciplinary projects
• Excellent team spirit
• Work in an ISO-certified environment
