the Group, FPT is the business unit specializing in the research, development and production of powertrains.
Around 270 highly qualified employees work at FPT Motorenforschung AG in Arbon, directly on the shores of
Lake Constance in North-Eastern Switzerland. We are the leading innovation centre for FPT and play a central
role in the development of future powertrain solutions (not only for diesel engines but also for electrified
drivetrains, hybrid engines and fuel cells, as well as for novel engine concepts and fuel types) and are
therefore at the forefront of a transition within Iveco towards a future of alternative propulsion systems.
As part of our succession planning activities, we are currently looking to fill the position as
Scope of the role:
You will be responsible for coordinating the local IT team, currently consisting of 4 full-time resources and 2
apprentices, ensuring compliance with global guidelines, maintaining excellent service standards and
achieving high levels of customer satisfaction, guaranteeing the security of all systems and overseeing the
cost-effectiveness of all measures taken.
Your responsibilities:
- Leading the local IT team to manage all IT-related tasks and maintain all IT-devices used across the site
- Develop strategic medium- and long-term plans for all local IT infrastructure projects and applications,
including the evaluation of new applications and software - Prepare budgets and track costs for both, the daily business as well as for new investments and initiatives
- Manage IT local projects, including the training of local employees
- Ensure the reliable running of all IT services for Arbon Site without outages with regards to Infrastructure,
Network, Security, Devices, Applications, Engineering Licenses and related areas of responsibility - Coordinating all activities of the Arbon-based and central IT teams for local and global services respectively
- Continuously evaluate new opportunities for local IT improvements
- Define development methods, team processes, implementation of processes and KPIs to measure process
quality and to ensure its continuous improvement - Scout relevant methods and technologies, and develop a clear roadmap for future initiatives
Our requirements:
- (Post)graduate degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a closely related discipline
- Total job experience in relevant functions of no less than 10 years with responsiblity for IT management,
telecommunications and automation, which ideally include a minimum of 2 years in a team-leading position - Any experience gained in the automotive industry, including working in an automotive testing environment,
would be a welcome asset

- Fields in which you gained substantial experience and in-depth know how include, but are not limited to:
- IT operations, support organization, enterprise architecture, network infrastructure as well as security
and governance - Telecommunications systems
- Budget planning and controlling
- Team building and leadership
- Coaching and communication
- Fluency in English (at least C1) is a must-have qualification, with additional German skills (ideally B1 or
above) being not mandatory, but highly desireable - A valid work permit for Switzerland is required for this position (not needed if you are a Swiss citizen or
hold a passport from any EU-26 or EFTA member state!)
