We are seeking an IT Banking Application Support - Apsys for our client based in Geneva.
Job description/Responsibilities
As a vital member of the IT department, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and support of the central banking system.
- Provide technical and application support as well as troubleshooting for the core banking system, covering modules such as fees, loans, payments, and the general ledger.
- Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting for core banking modules and other banking software applications (e.g., e-banking platforms).
- Escalate issues to key providers for in-depth analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate closely with business users and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Coordinate with providers and users for User Acceptance Tests (UAT) and system upgrades.
- Identify opportunities for configuration improvements in coordination with business and providers and propose and implement automations.
- Document support processes, procedures, and system configurations.
Profile
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working with core banking modules and technologies, including configuration, client lifecycle management, Swift messaging, reconciliation, and e-banking. Experience with Apsys (FNZ/New Access).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in banking application support.
- Extensive knowledge of core banking modules and architecture.
- Experience with Apsys (FNZ/New Access).
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a production environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience with payment technologies, particularly Swift.
- Proficiency in English or French. Having both is a plus.
