Formulation and Process Development Scientist
This position offers a contract term of 12 months with a high likelihood of extension, based in the vibrant hub of Basel, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead and guide formulation development and manufacturing endeavors for assigned projects, ensuring a focus on scientific and technological excellence, particularly concerning parenteral drug products.
- Foster close collaboration with cross-functional teams to synchronize formulation project plans with control strategies, project timelines, and overarching development strategies.
- Engage in effective communication and knowledge exchange with Biopharmaceutics Experts and internal subject matter experts to incorporate critical absorption factors and drug product performance into the formulation development strategy.
- Produce meticulous and thorough scientific documentation, encompassing development reports and manufacturing instructions, to bolster development trials, facilitate process transfers, and support supply activities.
- Uphold compliance with regulatory requisites and aid in inspections by contributing to filing dossiers, addressing drug product-related inquiries, and representing project/product-related facets during internal and health authority inspections.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A valid working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship is mandatory.
- Possession of an advanced degree in a scientific or relevant discipline (Masters or equivalent). Desirable: Ph.D. in a scientific or relevant discipline or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated previous experience (minimum 3 years) in the development of sterile pharmaceutical formulations.
- Profound knowledge of pertinent GxP regulations and policies pertaining to aseptic/sterile manufacturing.
