We are R&D Point of Care System Development & Integration – the architects of ready to use IVD systems for near-patient testing. Using our blood gas analysis technology, healthcare professionals are able to make decisions for patients in critical situations - in the emergency room, in the intensive care unit and in the operating room. 

We are looking for you! You will be part of our Systems Engineering Process team, where we ensure our blood gas analysis systems are maintainable over the whole product lifecycle. Using Systems Engineering processes and methodologies, we define and manage our complex systems to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance to fulfill the needs of hospitals and patients. 

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, on-site with the possibility partially work remotely.  

Key Responsibilities

• Support Systems Engineering processes and tool optimization for medical device development

• Contribute to quality and regulatory compliance (Requirements/Risks) using Lifecycle Management tools such as HP- ALM or RETINA (codebeamer)

• Verification of data integrity during tool transfers

• Maximize benefit of tool framework for the product needs

• Working in a interdisciplinary team and reporting in an agile environment

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor’s or Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of biomedical or other engineering specialization, biotechnology, chemistry, etc...  within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.

Furthermore you are

• Comfortable working in a diverse team and eager to bring innovative ideas (required)

• Able to work in a structured manor and communicate effectively in an agile environment (required)

• Interested in learning about regulatory requirements in the medical diagnostics industry

• Experienced in office applications such as Excel (required) and with programming scripts/macros (preferably)

• Knowledgeable in English (spoken and written), required, German is a plus

Technical details:

The preferred start date for the internship is September 2024. Please state your preferred start date and the desired duration of the internship in your application.(September 2024 / duration 6 to 12 months)

Part-time employment is not possible.

It is not possible to write a thesis during the internship.

The application deadline is April 30th.

Interviews will take place in the second and third week of May (between May 13 and 23).
