The Division of Cognitive Neuroscience (Faculty of Psychology and Faculty of Medicine) is an interdisciplinary research group aiming to increase the understanding of human cognitive and emotional processes and to find new ways to treat memory- and emotion-related disorders. We are currently looking for a VR/AR Mobile Software Engineer to develop future smartphone applications in the field of psychology. These apps will involve Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality or other related Human Computer Interaction technologies.

Your position

we are looking for a software developer who is interested in supporting us in the following tasks:

  • Development of VR/AR apps with our researchers in Psychology Department
  • Production of 3D applications
  • Finalising apps together with designers and psychologists
  • Release and maintenance of produced apps and app documentation

Your profile

We are looking for individuals that meet the following key qualifications:

  • You have a university or university of applied sciences degree in computer science, (medical) informatics, software engineering, or similar;
  • You have solid programming skills in: Unity3D game engine, C# programming, XML, json, latest web technologies;
  • You have experience with tools for mobile devices (e.g. React Native, ARCore/ARKit, Xcode, etc.);
  • You are interested in virtual and augmented reality technology, mobile app development incl. management of the app submission process, continuous integration and development;
  • You are proactive, communicative and you show personal responsibility, initiative and enjoy interdisciplinary teamwork;
  • Good English skills in both verbal and written communication, German would be a plus
  • Having experience of mobile app submission and management would be a plus
