Description
- Review documents received for translation and clarify with clients the scope of the projects and the target languages, making sure that all documents are clear and ready to be translated
- Prepare documents for translation (i.e. converting text from various file formats into Word format, calculating word counts, processing pretranslation, etc.)
- Oversee workflow of translation requests, including assigning translation projects to the in-house translators and external contractors in multiple languages, verifying availability and deadlines
- Discuss and finalize timelines with clients with oversight of the Translations Lead
- Coordinate versions of documents for large projects with frequent updates
- Receive and process invoices from contractors
- Perform other administrative tasks such as data entry and automated reports according to translation needs
- Maintain CAT tools and systems to improve speed, accuracy and consistency of translations
- Provide technical support to translators for CAT tools and be the intermediate between the team and the technical support from the CAT tool manufacturer
Profile
- Minimum first experience as a translation project manager/coordinator (required)
- Strong multitasking skills (required)
- Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills (required)
- Expert knowledge of computer-assisted translation technologies: LogiTerm, MemoQ, Trados (asset)
- Experience providing technical support for CAT tools (required)
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (required)
- Knowledge of NGOs (asset) and CAT tools
