Project Manager (Temporary, 1-year Contract)

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to oversee a one-year project focused on Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) transition. This role requires a junior-level professional proficient in both French and English, with a strong background in project management and QHSE systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of CEVA Management System: Lead the implementation of the CEVA management system, ensuring a smooth transition from the GEFCO management system. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps, develop strategies, and execute the transition plan effectively.
  • Internal Audits and Site Support: Conduct internal ISO 9001 and 14001 audits at various agencies and provide on-site support to facilitate the implementation of corrective actions. Ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards across all sites.
  • Support for SCA Deployment: Provide assistance in deploying Safety Compliance Assessments (SCA) at Fahy and Boncourt CL sites, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Support for TCA Deployment: Collaborate on the deployment of Total Compliance Assessments (TCA) at Delémont G&R, followed by other G&R agencies in early 2025. Assist in identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary measures.
  • Kaizen Implementation: Conduct on-site assessments and provide support to determine areas for Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives. Work closely with teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Risk Assessment Updates: Update safety risk assessments for all agencies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of potential hazards and risks. Review and enhance existing risk mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Environmental Aspect Assessment: Update Significant Environmental Aspects assessments for ISO 14001 agencies, particularly Delémont and Boncourt C&T sites. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Deployment of QHSE Management Tool: Lead the deployment and provide ongoing support for the new CEVA QHSE management tool, Intelex. Train users and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless integration and utilization.

Additional Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address emerging QHSE challenges and implement best practices.

  • Maintain clear and regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Document project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned for future reference and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, etc.)
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in QHSE or related fields
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, as well as other relevant regulations and requirements
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and/or QHSE management systems is a plus
