Job description
Within the Digital Division of Accelleron, we are seeking a talented Junior Data Scientist to join our newly formed AI team and contribute to the development of data-driven initiatives. The AI/ML team of Accelleron has been entrusted with the exciting task of iteratively developing, testing, and bringing new ideas and analytics solutions across the organization.
As a Junior Data Scientist, you'll dive into exciting AI/ML projects, utilizing an array of techniques, technologies, and data types—from Computer Vision to NLP. You will also play a crucial role in shaping the cloud-based architecture required to support our development efforts.

Responsibilities:
Engage with business stakeholders to ensure thorough understanding of requirements and their translation into actionable model decisions.
Support senior data scientists in developing and deploying ML models by conducting data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
Develop and maintain analytics dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Dash, Streamlit, etc.) to be utilized by stakeholders, ensuring they have access to actionable insights.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure to support model training, deployment, and lifecycle management.
Your background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Some experience (1-2 years) working in a data-related role, preferably as a data analyst or junior data scientist.
Experience with Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, creating insightful dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making.
Previous hands-on experience with ML (e.g. scikit-learn) is a must. Familiarity with deep learning and frameworks, such as PyTorch and TensorFlow is a plus.
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
