GL Accountant
The GL Accountant will be responsible for the following tasks and duties :
- Perform daily and monthly procedures to ensure the timely and accurate closing of the accounting system and the subledgers
- Provide support on using the accruals management system and follow up on accruals and provisions across the business
- Assist in reporting and performing analysis of the accounts where needed
- Support in the implementation of an ERP (Microsoft Dynamics) and taking the lead for this implementation for the GL Team
- Run month-end system routines for contract, inventory and accrual management
- Work with the counterparts in other countries to reconcile the intercompany bookings
- Back-Up for the delivery of the month end financial reporting for Swiss entities covering all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Responsible for the yearly and half yearly financial audit
- Ensuring accuracy of prepayments including regular direct contact with cost centre and purchase order managers across the business
- Working closely with the other general ledger accountants to assist in reconciling the payroll accounts to ensure balance sheet control
- Producing the statutory financial statements for the Swiss Entities
- Assisting in the roll-out of the Internal Control System and the underlying procedures
The GL Accountant we are looking for should provide the following skills and background :
- Accounting qualification, university graduate or bachelor's in accounting
- Relevant experience on a similar role with strong technical skills
- Analytical and organized person with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong excel and system competencies
- Capable of managing a team on the long-term
- Able to work in both English and French
