Supplier Quality Services Engineer

Initial duration: 6 months / Start date: ASAP


Purpose of the Job:

End to end management of the assigned Services Suppliers in alignment with PMI strategies and business needs, to ensure the quality of the services provided are continuously in compliance with applicable regulations, global standards, PMI quality requirements, and contractual agreements.



  • Qualification of the assigned Services Suppliers utilizing a strategy based on risk evaluation, to ensure the quality of the services provided is in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, PMI quality requirements and contractual agreements, and is in alignment with PMI QMS and strategies.
  • Planning, organizing and performing quality compliance audits to the Services Suppliers, by utilizing a risk-based evaluation strategy and by ensuring audit schedule adherence. Following up adherence to the agreed CAPA plans and implementation timelines.
  • Contributing to the identification of key quality performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned Services Suppliers; monitoring supplier quality performance based on the predefined KPIs, in order to ensure continuous compliance and to foster continuous improvement of the services provided.
  • Collaborating with other PMI functions (i.e. Procurement, Product Development, Product Management and Deployment, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Product Stewardship, Legal, Compliance and Quality Operations organizations, as applicable) to ensure end to end supplier quality management process and quality competencies of the supplier are in alignment with PMI requirements, strategies and business needs.
  • Managing and contributing to the supplier Change Control, Non-Conformity and Complaint processes with assigned Services Suppliers.
  • Developing and maintaining a collaborative and solid partnership with the assigned Services Suppliers to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are supported and adhered to by the organization, CAPA plans generated are closely followed-up and implemented within the agreed timelines.
  • Contributing to establishing, reviewing and maintaining all Supplier Quality Services related documents and records (i.e. SOP, WKI, Guidelines, risk assessments, QTAs, supplier documentation etc.) and ensuring their traceability and integration in QMS.
  • Providing support and guidance to other PMI functions and/or suppliers in terms of quality requirements; supporting internal and external quality development/improvement plans; participating to the cross-functional projects to provide guidance in the area of expertise.

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Science / Engineering or equivalent (i.e. Chemistry, Physics, Pharmaceutical / Material Science, etc.)
  • 5 to 8 years of Quality Assurance experience in GxP/ISO regulated, life sciences environment with at least 3 years' experience in supplier management / auditing.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor / Auditor Certification
  • Auditor Certifications and/or experience in other fields (e.g. GMP, GLP, Clinical, other ISO disciplines, GDPR etc.) is an asset
  • Fluency in English (oral & written) and ideally knowledge of more European languages
  • Advanced user level of MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to details, superior follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Good project management knowledge
  • Result oriented, priority settings, analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, proactive behavior, and customer focus
    Sound understanding of statistics and data interpretation
