Department Summary
Roche Diagnostics has built a new strategic area – Roche Information Solutions (RIS) – tasked with creating a modern portfolio of decision support software products and clinical algorithms, and generating insights that change the way patients are cared for.
The RIS Real World Data (RWD) Team leverages RWD to generate evidence in support of the digital health portfolio, diagnostic tests and devices, and services developed and marketed by Roche Diagnostics. We are passionate about unleashing the power of RWD to advance patient care, and are steadfast in our commitment to “doing now what patients need next.”
The Real-World Data (RWD) team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern. This role is designed to provide hands-on RWD experience by supporting our Quantitative Scientists on specific projects, as well as assisting the RWD Adoption Leads in designing and implementing strategic initiatives. Our goal is to maximize the use of RWD across Dia and foster a culture that embraces and leverages the transformative power of data.
This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, hybrid.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to Quantitative Scientists and RWD Adoption Leads on day-to-day project and activity needs.
Collaborate closely with teams across the organization to support the creation of internal RWD tools and processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (when applicable).
Perform literature reviews, data landscaping, and desk research to build foundational knowledge for study design and execution.
Support communication of RWD impact and value to drive adoption of RWD/RWE at Roche and beyond.
Who You Are
You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s / PhD studies at a university, preferably in the field of epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, public health or a related discipline after February 2024, and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.
Furthermore you are
Expert problem solver capable of seeking help when needed
Excellent communicator with high proficiency in English and a team player
Advanced ability in statistical analysis tools and programming (e.g., R, Python); experienced with biostatistics and RWD/RWE
Demonstrated research experience considered a plus
Current PhD student preferred
Technical details:
The start date for the internship is March 2025 with a duration of 12 months.
Part-time employment is not possible.
It is not possible to write a thesis during the internship.
The application deadline is November 11th. Interviews will take place in late November and early December.
