Administrative Assistant at the Bioethics Lab
The Health Ethics and Policy Lab researches ethical and policy challenges in presision medicine and digital health. We are a small team with interdisciplinary expertise in bioethics, philosophy, social science, medicine, public health, data science, policy and law. We pursue high-level scholarship, participate in international research and policy networks, and conduct public engagement activities.
We have an opening for the following position from May 1st 2024. Increasing the working percentage at a later date is a possibility.
We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented, and reliable Administrative Assistant who will support the Professor and group members in all administrative and organizational matters, to ensure the continued excellence of the group’s research, teaching and service.
This includes accounting and finance (expenses, invoices and budget to set up and control), financial administration of research projects and human resource functions. In addition, you serve as a deputy for event management and communication.
- Ideally you have several years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a university environment
- Preferably you have completed an education or a training in finance, or have built up these skills in practice
- A very good command of English (C1) and German (B2), both oral and written
- You like taking on responsibility, work independently, and have strong planning skills
- You enjoy contact with different stakeholders and put their needs at the centre of your work
- Your solid computer skills (MS Office, SAP, etc.) enable you to work efficiently
- Interest in further training and acquiring knowledge in the use of new tools
- Experience in the areas of event management and communication, and an a?nity for technical applications and web CMS are a plus
- With your excellent interpersonal skills, trustworthiness and reliability, you contribute to the team's mission
- You interact with a very bright set of young minds from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds and will be able to help their growth
