PhD Student
- PhD Thesis in Computational Physics
- Support teaching activities generally at the institution of the thesis advisor and/or perform specific maintenance tasks
- The aim of this PhD project is to advance exascale particle-in-cell (PIC) methodologies, with a focus on algorithmic development, high-performance computing, and practical applications, the project seeks to integrate these improvements into the IPPL library, which underpins our OPAL-X particle accelerator simulation framework
- Furthermore, we plan to expand OPAL-X's modelling capabilities to include the PSI flag ship projects HIMP (High Intensity Muon Project) and IMPACT (Isotope and Muon Production using Advanced Cyclotron and Target technologies)
- Master’s degree in physics
- Strong in computational and HPC aspects
