To reinforce the Design department at its Headquarters in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, SWATCH is currently searching for a
PRODUCT DESIGNER 100%
Main responsibilities will include:
- Market Research and Analysis: Understand consumer needs and desires, analyze market trends and identify opportunities for new products or enhancements.
- Ideation and Conceptualization: Generate innovative ideas for new products or improvements to existing products. Use brainstorming and creative thinking techniques.
- Design and Modeling: Create drawings, 3D models, and prototypes to visualize product concepts.
- Product Development: Work closely with engineers and manufacturers to develop feasible and economically viable products. Understand and integrate technical and material constraints into design.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with different teams to ensure product consistency with corporate objectives and market needs.
- Presentation and Argumentation: Present concepts and designs, explain design choices and gather feedback.
- Project management: planning and monitoring the various stages of product development.
- Technological and Creative Watch: Keep abreast of the latest innovations in materials, technologies and design trends. Explore new design methods and tools.
- Sustainable Development and Eco-design: Integrate environmental considerations into product design, choosing sustainable materials and optimizing the product's ecological footprint.
- Computer Skills: Rhino, KeyShot, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Catia a plus
- Prototyping and Manufacturing: Knowledge of rapid prototyping techniques, 3D printing, and traditional and digital manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Materials and Manufacturing Processes: Understanding the properties of different materials and their applications, as well as associated manufacturing techniques.
In addition to the above, you have the ability to generate innovative ideas and think outside the box. You can identify problems, think critically and propose viable solutions. You are able to adapt to project changes, technological developments and user feedback. You can work in a multidisciplinary team, communicate effectively with non-designers and present ideas clearly.
You are fluent in English, French and/or German. Any other languages are an advantage.
