Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the business development manager will deploy a “go to market” strategy for Europe to achieve Selexis short and long-term business goals.

She/He will act with the highest level of integrity to grow the business by driving sales and profit.

 

Junior Business Development Manager EU

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the business development manager will deploy a “go to market” strategy for Europe to achieve Selexis short and long-term business goals.

She/He will act with the highest level of integrity to grow the business by driving sales and profit.

 


ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1) SUREtechnology Platform Licensing:

  • Networking and lead generation
  • Identifying, qualifying and prospecting new leads for cell line development services
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Close cell line development service contracts, commercial and R&D license deals

2) Team role:

  • Participate in cross continent licensing, team and marketing activities, in accordance with the Business Development managers across the world (Asia and USA).
  • Build and maintain relationship with existing client base
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Provide a weekly forecast report for the respective clients within the EU territory
  • Implement, monitor and report sales and marketing plan for the EU territory
  • Initiate and participate in company sponsored territory events
  • Support company marketing initiatives to broader company business objectives
  • Attend company sponsored conferences and develop network of potential leads
  • Grow the client-database for the EU territory
  • Perform intelligence work on the EU

3) Other:

POSITION REPORTS TO:

Chief Business Officer, Selexis SA

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS MUST:

 

  • A degree, MSc or PhD. in Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry with understanding of recombinant protein expression and mammalian cell line development.
  • Fluent or proficient in the French and English languages
  • Other EU languages are an asset
  • 1 to 5 years’ biopharmaceutical industry experience ideally with Business Development function and international experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinking, flexible, hard worker and committed to results
  • Ability to negotiate with good communications skills including writing, speaking, and presentation.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Position requires both domestic and international travel.
  • Ability to work remotely.
