Material Requirements Planning Lead (f/m/d)
YOUR responsibilities & YOUR impact:
MATERIALS REQUIREMENTS PLANNING (MRP)
Plans, manages and controls timely and cost-efficient preparation of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) for manufacturing of current portfolio, new products introduction, in order to ensure that the company’s business needs are met and that the appropriate stock is available timely in correct quantity and quality.
Ensures the provision of direct materials based on MRP results, stock policy and defined planning and purchasing parameters with the aim of material availability for continuous production, develops and implements MRP policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures.
Through subordinate planners, ensures finalization of MRP, confirmation of quantities and dates, ensuring that all material delivery schedules are communicates timely to suppliers in order to meet manufacturing plan requirements.
In accordance with policies and procedures, supports or manages supplier’s selection process and supply security in order to ensure the best cost/quality ratio and to reduce lead-times.
SHORT TERM SITE CONSTRAINT MANAGEMENT & RISK MANAGEMENT
Connects with Site Planning, Make, Technical Operations and Procurement partners to ensure seamless flow of information and fully integrated approach to delivering key metrics – Customer Service, Inventory and Cost.
Proactively partners with Procurement to drive Supplier performance improvement. Leads team to manage short term materials constraints, partner cross-functionally to mitigate impact or escalate to evaluate impact and to identify alternatives to mitigate risk. Partners with Make and Quality to define and implement improvement projects to drive E2E optimization.
Leads Risk Management activities for the MRP area, using advanced Problem-solving techniques, managing large amount of information, developing What-if scenarios in development of robust recommendations to support decision making process.
MATERIALS SUPPLY AGILITY & UPSTREAM INTEGRATION
Assures partnership relationships and a smooth coordination with the key internal and external stakeholders (such as Suppliers, Procurement, Finance, Quality) for achieving efficient implementation of integrated supply chain & business processes to enable Agility for New Products Introduction and Upstream integration with the key suppliers.
Defines, manages and controls the materials supply strategy to meet the volatility requirements needed by different product supply strategies (such as Make to Order vs. Make to Stock).
PLANNING & BUDGETING
Plans departmental budget and supports procurement PPV budget (FBP, JU, LRFP); manages and controls all MRP activities in order to ensure that business objectives are met in the most effective way.
Ensures plans can be met within inventory target, and ensures management Slow Moving & Obsolete inventory (SLOB).
Provides senior management with accurate frequent reporting on forecasts, orders and shipments.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
Sets and communicates objectives to his/her department in order to ensure that the targets are achieved.
Organizes, supervises and controls the work of subordinates; motivates them and supports them in reaching their full potential applying available development activities (coaching, training etc.)
Initiates and encourages team work and initiatives.
Ensures adequate staffing, continuously assesses that effectiveness, skills and capabilities of his/her employees with reference to the mid and long-term JSC Site Planning requirements, assuring that appropriate professional and technical training is delivered as well as the organizational structure is efficient and effective.
EHS&S / COMPLIANCE & EHS&S
Promotes and supports practices, behaviors and initiatives which improve all EHS&S aspects, as well as acts as a role model to in those areas.
Assures that all employees under his/her supervision understand and comply with the Company' EHS&S Policy.
Holds the responsibility for the occupational health and safety within his department and implementation of the Environment Health and Safety Management Program, by ensuring strict adherence to the applicable procedures.
Guarantees incorporating the requirements implied by the EHS Program into the Company's procurement process regarding materials.
Ensures that the quality of work performed by employees under his/her supervision is compliant with all applicable policies and procedures along with all applicable legal and statutory requirements.
Takes corrective actions in case of potential breach of compliance or conflict of interest.
Constantly analyses and appraises departmental activities as well as market information to take advantage of new business opportunities, increase the department’s efficiency and to best meet changing business requirements.
Develops and implements the culture of continuous improvement.
Develops End-to-End mindset, forward looking thinking and key capabilities including business acumen, advanced planning and analytics, to ensure meaningful dialogue and decisions with our business partners as well as develop processes and systems integration to enable autonomous and closed loop planning.
Adapts to rapidly changing market conditions and requirements demanding a high level of flexibility of stock levels, purchasing practices and organizational readiness.
Follows unstable and variable fiscal, customs and financial regulations in various countries.
Understands the complexity of the supply chain and its inter-dependencies with other areas being able to balance sometimes conflicting objectives (production, finance, production planning, suppliers)
We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:
University Master’s degree or equivalent
MBA or equivalent, Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/IBF) desired
Analytical, methodical and a good sense of synthesis are required.
Can easily adapt to changes, flexible and open minded Applied Real-Time End to End Supply Chain Management expertise including collaboration, networking, relationship management, technical expertise and Change leadership, strong communication and negotiation skills
5+ years supply chain experience within multinational and multicultural companies
5+ years Supply Chain experience, in core functions (incl. Demand Planning, Affiliate Supply Chain, EMEA business context knowledge in Make To Order/ Middle East) Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems (OMP) preferred Strong critical ability to look across a lot of data and information, identify trends, correlations, opportunities and risks to develop supply chain scenarios.
Basic knowledge of Trackwise
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum 5 years of management experience.
Sound experience in procurement (incl. ISO 9001 certification for the procurement department)
Sound experience in planning and supply chain management (incl. Advanced Planning Transformation for the Planning and Customer Management function).
Proven experience in relations with external (local and international) partners (suppliers, authorities, etc).
Broad cross functional knowledge of all business aspects and their interaction, deep understanding of operations and customer management
Ability to develop, coach and lead a team of planners in the execution, strategies and realization of departmental and company goals.
Ability to coach & develop accountable, diverse and global leaders who inspire and motivate others.
Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships, leading cross functional/virtual teams were required.
Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.
The ability to influence Director & VP Levels within the organisation and in a matrix environment.
Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects.
Demonstrates strong decision-making ability in multiple scenario environment.
