For one of our client based in Geneva, we're looking for a 

Ingénieur Cloud, spécialiste Linux (M/W)

 Activities :

  • Migration strategy and planning: Develop comprehensive migration strategies for transitioning applications from RHEL 7 to OpenShift, AKS, PaaS, or RHEL 8/9. This includes assessing current deployments, identifying suitable migration paths, and planning the migration process.
  • Collaboration and support: Work closely with Product teams and TECH Product teams to facilitate the migration process. Provide technical support, best practices, and guidance on new environments.
  • Automation and efficiency: Utilize automation tools to streamline the migration process. Ensure migrations are performed efficiently, securely, and with minimal downtime.
  • Security and compliance: Ensure all migrations comply with organizational security policies and industry best practices. Address security concerns associated with the migration, including data protection and access control.
  • Performance monitoring and optimization: Monitor application performance in new environments. Optimize configurations to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Knowledge sharing and documentation: Document migration processes and share knowledge with team members. Develop training materials and conduct sessions to upskill teams on new technologies and platforms.

Profile requirements :

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT, with a strong focus on Linux systems administration, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. Demonstrated experience in managing RHEL migrations, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms (OpenShift, AKS) and RHEL versions 8/9.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in Linux administration, particularly RHEL. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (OpenShift, AKS). Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Communication and collaboration: Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams. Strong ability to guide and support teams through transition processes.
  • Professional qualities: Demonstrated commitment to professional development, continuous learning, and adopting new technologies. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new technological landscapes.
  • Certifications: RHEL, Kubernetes, or cloud technologies (Azure) are highly desirable.
  • Project management: Experience with project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple migration projects simultaneously.
  • Innovation and problem-solving: A track record of innovative solutions to technical challenges. Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex migration issues.
  • Agile methodology: Experience using Microsoft TFS, particularly the management of PBI (creation, follow-up).
