Technical SEO Manager f/m/d

The job
We are looking for a self-starter, data-driven Technical SEO Manager f/m/d, with at least two years of experience working with big websites (>30.000 URLs), eager to join our SEO Team. As a part of the team, you will be responsible for the technical optimization of one of our digital brands. You will conduct deep SEO analyses and provide Product teams with actionable insights as well as helping shape the overall SEO strategy. You will work closely with the Product teams, Tech Leads and Developers.

We strongly believe that SEO is a crucial lever for our growth strategy; the topic has full support from top management including funding for tools and infrastructure.

The tasks

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide optimization of crucial elements like canonicals, hreflang tags, sitemaps, content cannibalization, and content duplication
  • Ensure efficient crawling and indexing by Google through optimizing site architecture, internal linking and other factors
  • Strategize and implement structured data. Set up KPIs and measuring environment to measure the impact on traffic and conversions
  • Run audits, identify issues and growth opportunities
  • Optimize site architecture, internal linking and faceted navigation based on blended traffic and Googlebot activity data
  • Conduct health checkups of server-side rendering infrastructure and discover possible react.js indexation and crawling issues
  • Align with Product teams to work on the implementation of your recommendations
  • Build cross-functional relationships by providing SEO insights and strategic recommendations that can have a profound impact on the organization
  • Implement knowledge sharing processes to educate product teams and stakeholders on SEO best practices

The skills and the tools:
The skills

  • Strategic thinking and an eye for the bigger picture, following an impact driven approach without stubborn focus on "best practices"
  • Proven success in executing technical audits to provide strategic recommendations and drive concrete actions
  • Comfortable in understanding HTML, CSS, and JS necessary to optimize page load speed. Understanding of the DOM model and experienced in regex patterns
  • Ability to analyze log files and experience in crawling budget optimization
  • Knowledgeable of Schema.org library and JSON-LD file implementations
  • Experience in working with websites using dynamic Frameworks (React, Angular, Vue or similar)
  • High attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task with a variety of projects
  • Ability to effectively interact with team colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas simply and respectfully
  • Useful: Basic Knowledge or Experience working with Python
